Borneo: Kota Kinabalu

Well, we're back from an amazing week long holiday in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo! It was a week of contrasts and fantastic experiences - we are totally in love with the people and the beautiful surroundings.

We started and ended our trip in Kota Kinabalu (previously known as Jesselton). It is the largest city in Sabah - was flattened twice during WWII and reconstructed in 1963. We didn't spend too much time in KK, as it was really a launching off point for the rest of our holiday. We did take a look at the waterfront...
the markets...
the waterfront restaurants...
and indulged in a little reflexology (at RM25 for 30 minutes, it's even better value than People's Park here in Singapore!).

We figured our feet would appreciate some pampering prior to a few nights trekking in the Borneo jungle!
