We started and ended our trip in Kota Kinabalu (previously known as Jesselton). It is the largest city in Sabah - was flattened twice during WWII and reconstructed in 1963. We didn't spend too much time in KK, as it was really a launching off point for the rest of our holiday. We did take a look at the waterfront...

and indulged in a little reflexology (at RM25 for 30 minutes, it's even better value than People's Park here in Singapore!). 
We figured our feet would appreciate some pampering prior to a few nights trekking in the Borneo jungle!
